We’re Dan & April Mantle, and we want to provide your family with fresh, delicious food straight from our local farm.
We started farming as a hobby homestead in the beginning. The quality of food we wanted wasn’t readily available to us locally, so we decided we would grow it ourselves.
Neither of us grew up on a farm, but both of us grew up in homes with large vegetable gardens and food made from scratch. It didn’t seem like that large of a stretch to us to want to provide ourselves with what we remembered eating growing up.
However, as we began to grow, so did demand. People in our community started noticing what we were up to and they wanted some too. It started by selling a few extra eggs and it grew to the point where we were selling all of our own eggs and buying from another farm to supplement ourselves!
Seeing a need and wanting to provide more to those who sought the same level of food we did, we turned our focus onto sustainable farming. We left our 3 acre plot, and took up residence on a 200 acre farm.
We still homestead for ourselves, but our focus has become getting better food, with an affordable price, to everyone.
We want our farm to feed your family.

Hayley
Queen of the farm
We brought Hayley to our farm in 2016 when she was 10 weeks old. Hayley took a year and a half to fully train and is the leader of our Guardians.
MEET OUR DEDICATED Helpers
We are a predator friendly farm. Meaning we don’t hunt, trap, or purposely cause harm or death to predators that naturally live around our farm.
Instead, to keep our livestock safe, we use Livestock Guardian Dogs. These dogs are specifically bred and used to guard even the smallest of livestock. Their intense bonding ability and low prey drive makes them the perfect guardian. We specifically use the breed “Italian Maremma Sheepdog” on the farm.
Our dogs currently guard chickens, rabbits, goats, and cattle. The predators that live around our farm are fox, coyote, bobcat, hawks, raccoon, bears, and the occasional wolf.
Mathias
Muscle of the farm
We brought Mathias to our farm in 2018 when he was 11 weeks old. Mathias is the muscle of the operation and works well as Hayley’s backup. He took a year and half to fully train.
